ABOUT US
We are a non-profit organization based in Santa Clara County that specializes in helping local children and families in need. Ingrid Vilona founded American Family Charity in June 2005, after a long history of helping other people, primarily the homeless and working poor. The name says it all: American Family Charity was started to help families in need starting right here in our own backyard.
Christmas 2006, American Family Charity helped 950 children experience the Joy of Christmas! Thanks to all of the community support, we are on track to bring a smile to 2,500 little faces this Christmas morning.
September 2007 was the first year we handed out new backpacks. Again, thanks to all of you, we were able to send 100+ Jr. High students back to school with the basics. With your support, maybe we can help 1,000 students in 2008!
When we say, Thanks to you, we really mean it! American Family Charity is funded entirely by private donations and our Car Donation Program. By donating a car to us, you are helping a child or family right here!
